Description

ESG was poised to take center stage in corporate America at the end of 2019. It had enjoyed a long rise to the spotlight, that culminated in the Business Roundtable’s statement on the Purpose of a Corporation. Then the Covid-19 pandemic threw corporate America’s best laid plans out of the window. The global health crisis caused the U.S. economy to spiral downward, resulting in a recession that has affected a broad range of industries and companies, including retailers, airlines, restaurants, and oil producers.

In this webinar, we will discuss how the Covid-19 health crisis and resulting recession have impacted companies’ approaches to ESG, and whether companies with established ESG strategies and infrastructures may be better situated to bounce back. We will take a detailed look at the results of the 2020 Bloomberg Law ESG Survey to understand the structures of various ESG programs – while analyzing whether those programs helped build resiliency in the face of the challenges of 2020.

Educational Objectives:

  • Examine how the pandemic and resulting downturn are affecting corporate ESG practices and programs
  • Hear from legal practitioners about how best to structure an ESG program and build resiliency in a volatile market
  • Explore Bloomberg Law’s data-driven market insights about ESG

Who would benefit most from attending this program?
This webinar is intended for in-house legal practitioners at all levels, as well as law firm practitioners who advise corporate clients.
